Activating the Domain Forwarding Service

  1. Proceed to the Domain Forwarding Service interface. 1

  2. Click the Manage Domain Forwarding link.

    Note

    The Domain Forwarding Service will be activated when you click the Manage Domain Forwarding link for the first time.

Note

For Resellers: The Domain Forwarding Service can be activated only if the Order belongs to a Customer immediately under you.

Changing the Name Servers of your domain name to our Name Servers

For the Domain Forwarding Service to work, it is essential that all queries for your domain name should reach our Domain Forwarding Server, which would further redirect it to the destination you have specified. Thus, it is vital that after you have activated the Service for a particular domain name, you need to change the Name Servers for this domain name to our Name Servers.

To know what Name Servers you need to use

  1. Proceed to the Domain Forwarding Service interface. 2

  2. Click the Name Server Details link.

  3. Here, you would find the list of Name Servers you need to set for your domain name.

    Note
    • If the domain name is registered through Verve Logic and the Name Servers are not the same as those required to use the Domain Forwarding Service, the system will display a Your Domain Forwarding service is not configured correctly. message. You need to click the Configure Now link next to it and then the Fix name Servers Automatically button to automatically update the Name Servers.

    • If the domain name is not registered with Verve Logic, you need to point your domain name to these Name Servers through the domain name management console provided by your domain name registration service provider.
